Thai Nippon Rubber Industry Public Company Limited (TNR) promotes a strategy to increase sales from the product group under the company's brand (Own Brand). TNR plans to expand distributors of PLAYBOY condoms to more than 30 countries this year. It is ready to develop the market through local retailers in the US, market the product through an e-commerce website in China, and join its dealers in Europe. In Thailand, TNR plans to expand distribution channels through pharmacies in the community to increase its customer base.
Mr. Amorn Dararatanarot, Chief Executive Officer of TNR, the largest producer and distributor of natural latex condoms in Thailand, revealed that in 2021, the company has a strategy to grow by 10% resulting in more than 1,553 million baht in sales and service revenues generating.
TNR will focus on increasing sales from the company's brand (Own Brand) from the previous year with a sales share of 18% to 26% of sales and services. The margin of their own brand was better compared to OEM and Tender.
TNR will expand the market for PLAYBOY condoms licensed to sell and market in Thailand and worldwide. TNR plans to add more distributors in foreign countries such as Europe, South America, Asia, etc., by presenting its brand strengths, a prominent brand with a world-class standard.
Mr. Varunyu Dararatanarot, General manager TNR Business Development Department, announced the implementation plan for PLAYBOY condoms this year. We expect to increase the number of distributors in foreign countries to more than 30 distributors compared to 20 last year. In the first quarter of this year, TNR has appointed its distributors in Russia and Spain. Currently, there are orders from Russia awaiting scheduled deliveries. There are pending negotiations to establish more dealers in many countries such as Italy, Malta, the Philippines, etc., expected to conclude in the second half of this year.
After we market through 4,000 Wal-Mart stores approximately, selling products within Walgreens and leading drugstores in our primary market, the USA, TNR plans to expand the market through local retailers to increase distribution channels later this year.
We have recently entered online distribution channels for the Chinese market through JD.com, a leading retail-focused e-commerce website, Pinduoduo, a wholesale-focused e-commerce website, and selling through distributors in China. As China accounts for about 40% of online sales, TNR will cooperate with distributors in various countries to continuously expand the market.
Moreover, TNR has enhanced its product offering model to customers and dealers in various countries. TNR is now offering goods with international freight forwarding as One-Stop Service. We provide the service from container procurement, book a charter in advance, and manage transportation insurance to conduct export and import formalities to the country of destination onto successfully deliver the product to the recipient. In addition to supporting our customers, we can also enhance the product value and revenue growth.
Considering the PLAYBOY condom market in Thailand, it is expected to have better sales than last year. TNR has increased product lines in 7-ELEVEN convenience stores from 1 model to 4 models and expanded distribution channels in Lotus, Big C, Makro, general stores, and community pharmacies, reaching a broader range of consumers.
